Connect GitHub

Link your GitHub account and install the GitHub App so agents and automations can work on your repositories.

Connecting GitHub takes two steps, both in Settings > GitHub.

How do I connect my GitHub account?

  1. Open Settings > GitHub.
  2. Under Your GitHub account, select Connect GitHub and approve the request on GitHub.

The panel then shows Connected as your GitHub username. Nexus uses this link to check your permission on a repository when you request a review or mention @nexus on a pull request. It is separate from signing in with GitHub.

How do I install the GitHub App?

  1. Connect your GitHub account first.
  2. Under GitHub App, select Install GitHub App and choose the repositories to share.

Only an organization owner or admin can install the app, and each organization has one installation. After you change repository access on GitHub, select Refresh repositories to bring the list up to date.
